A huge explosion took place on the railway bridge built on the Udaipur-Ahmedabad railway line which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi 13 days ago. It is said that unknown miscreants tried to blow up this bridge. In the investigation by the police, it has come known that a detonator has been used for this. Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) has also reached the spot in view of the possibility of a terrorist incident. At present, the railway bridge has been closed. The investigation of the matter has also started.

Know about the incident first new railway line has been built between Udaipur and Ahmedabad. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this line on 31 October. It is said that there was a sudden explosion on Odisha Railway Bridge on Slumber Road, about 35 km from Udaipur, at around 10 o’clock on late Saturday night. This created panic among the people around.

When some people reached the railway bridge, the railway track was found broken in many places. Gunpowder was found on the railway line. The nuts and bolts of the bridge were also found missing. An iron sheet was also found torn on the track. Immediately people informed the police. After this, the railways diverted all the trains passing through this track. Many senior officers of police and administration reached the spot. In view of the possibility of a terrorist incident, the ATS team also reached in the morning. The investigation of the matter is going on now.

What did the police say?

After the incident, the statement of SP Vikas Sharma of Udaipur came to the fore. He said, ‘In the preliminary investigation, it is known that there is a big conspiracy behind this. It is possible that a detonator was used to blow it up. The bomb squad and forensic team are on the spot and collecting all the evidence. More details will emerge only after the investigation.

 Badri Prasad, Area Manager of Udaipur Railway also interacted with the media. “Both trains have been suspended on the Udaipur-Ahmedabad line. The line is being repaired as soon as possible. It is being ascertained who is behind the conspiracy.

 The railway track was started after six years it took six years to complete the Udaipur-Ahmedabad railway line. When the Prime Minister reached Rajasthan on October 31 this year, he started the first train from Udaipur to Ahmedabad. Modi flagged off the train from Asarva station. About 1700 crore rupees have been spent in preparing this track. About 290 km long track has been built to connect Udaipur to Ahmedabad.

More than 100 subways and underpasses have been built on it. So that the local people do not have to cross the railway line. Three big tunnels also fall on this route and there are more than 15 crossings. This track passes through about 30 bridges. This track enters Gujarat through six districts of Rajasthan. Apart from Udaipur, these include Dungarpur, Banswara, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, and Chittorgarh.

Earlier it used to take 10 hours, now five hours earlier there was no direct rail connectivity to reach Ahmedabad from Udaipur. Due to this people used to take more than ten hours to travel. Now the travel time has come down from 10 hours to five hours with direct connectivity. Not only this, the journey of Jaipur-Ahmedabad via Udaipur has become easy. Now people are reaching Ahmedabad from Jaipur in about 13 hours from the new railway line.
